Information we collect

HobbyOffer may receive account information supplied through the sign-in provider, such as a user identifier, display name, and email address. We store collection items, watchlists, price targets, inventory status, and related values that signed-in users choose to save. Device-local versions of this information may also be stored in browser storage.

Like most online services, hosting and security systems may process technical information such as IP address, device and browser type, request times, referring pages, and diagnostic or security logs.

Photos and AI scanning

AI photo scan disclosure: When you use AI scanning, HobbyOffer sends the selected front photo and any optional back or grading-label photo to HobbyOffer’s servers and Google Gemini to identify the collectible. Google processes those images and the related prompt to return possible item details. HobbyOffer stores a one-way image fingerprint and scan diagnostics such as category, confidence, model, errors, duration, and time for security, abuse prevention, troubleshooting, and service quality. Signed-in users may choose to store collection photos until the item or account is deleted, subject to limited backup, fraud-prevention, or legal retention needs.

Do not upload images containing people, addresses, financial information, account credentials, confidential information, or other sensitive information. AI results may be inaccurate. You must be at least 18 years old and have the right to submit each image.

How information is used

We use information to operate account syncing, collections, watchlists, price tools, card matching, vendor profiles, support, security, abuse prevention, troubleshooting, and service improvement. We do not use collection values as a basis for personalized financial or investment advice.

Public vendor profiles

Vendor profiles are private unless you choose to publish them. A published profile can be viewed and shared by anyone and may include the business name, logo, biography, general location, collecting interests, show schedule, links, contact email, verification status, founding-vendor number, and items marked For Sale that you separately choose to display. Do not publish a home address or other sensitive information. You can hide individual profile sections or unpublish the profile from your profile settings, although search engines, recipients, or archives may retain earlier public copies.

Third-party services

HobbyOffer uses Google Gemini for AI-assisted photo identification, Supabase for independent account authentication, Cloudflare and OpenAI Sites infrastructure for hosting, database, storage, and security functions, and Resend for transactional-email delivery and delivery diagnostics. These processors receive only the information reasonably needed for their functions and operate under their applicable terms and privacy commitments. HobbyOffer may also obtain collectible information from approved third-party data providers and link to marketplaces. Following an external link takes you outside HobbyOffer.

Sharing and disclosure

We share information with infrastructure, authentication, database, AI, storage, security, email, and technical service providers only as reasonably needed to operate the service. We may also preserve or disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the public, to investigate abuse, or in connection with a business reorganization. HobbyOffer does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Retention and your choices

Account content is retained while the account or saved record remains active. Scan diagnostics and consent records may be retained for security, compliance, troubleshooting, and dispute-resolution purposes. Deleted information may remain temporarily in restricted backups or where preservation is required for fraud prevention or law. You can remove individual records and clear device-local data through browser settings. Submit an access, correction, deletion, or other privacy request through the Privacy & Legal Requests form. Identity verification may be required.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards intended to protect information. No website, network, database, or transmission method is completely secure, so HobbyOffer cannot guarantee absolute security. Protect your device and sign-in credentials and notify us if you believe your account has been compromised.

Age requirement and changes

HobbyOffer and its AI scanning features are intended only for people who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a minor has provided information, submit a request so it can be reviewed and deleted. We may update this policy as the service changes. Material updates may require renewed acceptance, and a revised effective date will be posted on this page.
